LeBron James added a new chapter to his ongoing feud with ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith by mocking Smith’s boxing skills in a viral Instagram post.
The feud between LeBron James and Stephen A. Smith has been making headlines recently, and it all started with Smith’s remarks about LeBron’s son, Bronny James. Their heated interaction caught everyone’s attention when the Lakers’ King confronted the ESPN analyst in front of them.
The tension escalated when LeBron appeared on The Pat McAfee Show, calling out Smith for making personal attacks instead of focusing on basketball performance. Smith responded on his ESPN show, First Take, defending his comments and doubling down on his criticism of LeBron.
Now, the feud has taken a humorous turn. LeBron mocked Smith’s boxing skills by sharing an old training video on Instagram, accompanied by a playful caption, “🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 WHOMP WHOMP WHOMPPPPPPPP.”
Stephen A. Smith reveals he lied about LeBron James’ attendance at Kobe’s memorial
The recognition Stephen A. Smith gained as a sports analyst came not just from his expertise but also from his feud with LeBron James and multiple false claims about the 40-year-old.
One of those claims was when Smith said LeBron didn’t attend Kobe Bryant’s memorial in 2020. However, the truth was that LeBron James was there, but he didn’t appear in front of the cameras for long.
Recently, Smith publicly admitted to making a false claim regarding NBA superstar LeBron James. He later issued an apology, clarifying that he had misspoken during the show’s first hour and corrected himself in the second. He said:
Stephen A Smith calling Lebron a liar and then immediately lying about him not attending Kobe’s memorial sure is a choice… https://t.co/MrusoTOUXt

“Today, when I intimated that LeBron did not attend Kobe Bryant’s memorial. I corrected myself in Hour#2 when I acknowledged he was indeed in attendance. My mistake. Should not have even broached that subject. It was not my main point. I retract NOTHING else that I said.”
