During Tuesday night’s game between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Charlotte Hornets, rookie sensation Jaylen Wells suffered a terrifying fall that left everyone holding their breath.
The scary moment happened in the second quarter. Jaylen Wells was racing down the court for a fast-break dunk when Hornets guard KJ Simpson slid underneath him mid-air. The collision caused Wells to lose control and fall hard to the floor.
The impact was painful to watch. Wells hit the court with full force, and everyone in the arena went silent. Trainers rushed in, and moments later, the Memphis rookie was carefully placed on a stretcher. He had to leave the game before halftime.

According to ESPN, Wells broke his right wrist. The good news? He was awake, alert, and able to move his arms and legs.
The game stopped for over 20 minutes after the injury. Both teams were given time to warm up again once Wells was taken off the floor. As for KJ Simpson, he was given a Flagrant-2 foul and was ejected from the game.

Jaylen Wells is now facing a tough road to recovery after breaking his wrist and suffering a deep cut on his forehead. Doctors quickly moved him to a hospital in Charlotte because the injury looked serious.
Later, Wells shared a photo on his Instagram story. In the picture, he was still wearing his Grizzlies jersey, lying in a hospital bed with a bandage wrapped around his wrist and a noticeable scar just above his right eyebrow.
