Following the game, Nurkic expressed disappointment, saying, “It’s sad. He didn’t learn anything. Just a matter of time, he’s going to hit somebody else again.” Nurkic took back all the previous praise he had given to Green, stating that the 33-year-old does not deserve another chance.

Three days after the game, Draymond Green addressed Jusuf Nurkic and his former teammate Kevin Durant on his podcast, “The Draymond Green Show.” He criticized them for questioning his character, calling Nurkic a coward.

Green expressed his frustration, saying, “What a coward, you go questioning character about a basketball game that you just lost, that you got destroyed in… What an embarrassment! And they expect to win with that guy?”

Green did not stop there, he called Nurkic a “300-pound softy” while posting his YouTube episode on X. He also compared his stats (15 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists) as well as Nurkic’s stats (6 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists) in the episode to establish that he had a superior performance.
