NBA legend Lamar Odom discloses performing weird pregame ritual before every Lakers game

Recently a clip of Lamar Odom went viral on the internet when he talked about his pregame ritual on his podcast, the LADE Show which left the fans on the internet in splits.

Lamar said, “I used to always j**k off, but I think about it cause that it probably took some of my energy. I was at home at the crib but when I have a hotel room I bust it down. That is why sometimes I would rather play on the road.”

Lamar’s pregame ritual might sound hilarious to anyone who reads about it, but it certainly worked for him as he had an illustrious NBA career with consistently good performances.

Taking a closer look at Lamar Odom’s NBA career

Lamar Odom was selected by LA Clippers as the fourth overall pick in the 1999 NBA Draft. Odom spent the first four seasons of his career with the Clippers, where he emerged to be one of the best players in the league. Odom averaged a career-high 16 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game in his last season with the Clippers, after which he went to Miami Heat.

Odom had the best season of his career in Miami, averaging 17.1 points and a career-high 9.7 rebounds. He was later traded to Los Angeles Lakers, where he played a key role in winning two NBA championships for the team in 2009 and 2010. He had a career average of 13.3 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game.

Odom then moved to Dallas Maverick where he averaged 6.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. He retired from the game in 2014. Odom’s impressive career statistics prove his greatness and fans have demanded for Odom to be inducted in Hall of Fame.
