Scottie Barnes Injured in Raptors vs Knicks Game After Collision with Karl-Anthony Towns

The Toronto Raptors lost Scottie Barnes to a painful right ankle injury on Monday night against the New York Knicks. The game was already a tough one for the Raptors, as they dropped to a 7-18 record after losing to the Knicks by a big margin. To make things worse, they also lost one of their key players, Barnes, in the third quarter.

The injury happened with 6:47 left in the third quarter when Scottie Barnes collided with Karl-Anthony Towns and landed awkwardly on Towns’ foot while trying to grab a rebound. Barnes couldn’t put weight on his foot, so his teammates helped him off the court. The game immediately ruled him out.

Barnes was clearly in pain and told trainers he couldn’t feel his foot while sitting on the court. Raptors coach Darko Rajakovic said early X-rays didn’t show a fracture, but Barnes will be checked again on Tuesday morning.
