Stephen Curry Opens Up About His NBA Career Coming to an End

Stephen Curry, one half of the “Splash Brothers,” is 36 years old and in his 16th NBA season. He and Klay Thompson, the other half of the duo, planned to finish their careers together with the Golden State Warriors.

But that changed this season when Klay joined the Dallas Mavericks. Curry wants to finish his career with the Warriors and win more championships, even though he knows his NBA career is almost over.

In an interview with ESPN’s Malika Andrews, Warriors star Stephen Curry talked about the end of his basketball career. Curry said it feels a bit strange, but he’s learning to accept it as part of the journey.

When Malika asked how much he thinks about how much longer he wants to play, Curry replied, “More than I probably have before. It’s okay to accept and acknowledge that the end is near at whatever point.”

He added, “But only because it allows you to enjoy what’s happening right now. But I think that the more you talk about it, the more you acknowledge it, the more it levels up the sense of urgency in the moment.”

Stephen Curry ends hope of teaming up with LeBron James

In a recent interview with ESPN’s Malika Andrews, Stephen Curry shut down any hopes of teaming up with LeBron James in the NBA. Despite their successful partnership at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Curry said an NBA team-up is “probably not” going to happen.

After the Olympics, Curry discussed the growing respect and friendship between them, expressing the hope that they would share more experiences together. But during an interview ahead of the Christmas Day game against LeBron, Curry crushed those hopes.

When asked about a potential NBA team-up, he simply said, “Probably not. I think the what ifs and all that type of stuff you kind of just leave that for the whatever platform people want to talk about it.
