Watch: Stephen Curry shares heartwarming moment with NFL star Russell Wilson’s son Future

Stephen Curry has been a beacon of light to many aspiring basketball players over the years. Not only basketball, but Curry also supports golf as it is his second passion. As the NBA All-Star weekend came to Indianapolis, the celebs flocked in to catch a glimpse of the action.

After Micah Parsons’ heroics in the celebrity All-Star game, Russell Wilson added to the lengthy list of NFL personnel gracing the event with their presence. Wilson was not alone though, as he brought a keen companion along to whom Stephen Curry took a special liking.

Stephen Curry gives basketball lessons to Russell Wilson’s son

Stephen Curry participated in a special 3-point challenge in the NBA All-Star weekend where he faced the best 3-point shooter of the WNBA, Sabrina Ionescu. In the practice session before the challenge, the Golden State Warriors guard was seen giving lessons to the NFL QB, Russell Wilson’s stepson, Future Zahir Wilburn.

The Denver Broncos star had attended the NBA All-Star game like many other celebrities. In a video posted by the franchise on X featuring Curry and Future Zahir shows the former NBA Three-Point Contest Champion teaching some skills and techniques to the young one. The 4-time NBA Champion was called “Mentor” in the caption.

The American rapper Future’s son, who is Wilson’s stepson, was receiving instructions on shooting techniques and postures from none other than the NBA’s illustrious shooter himself.

Curry, who is a father of three, is accustomed to interacting with young children and didn’t hesitate to mentor Future Jr. In his personal life, Steph Curry prefers not to impose sports on his kids. Therefore, it’s safe to assume that Future Zahir didn’t feel pressured by the Warriors’ main man.

Russell Wilson already got his son training alongside him

Young Zahir isn’t just passionate about basketball, but like his stepdad, he also has an interest in football. Wilson, being a devoted father, makes it a point to spend quality time with his children.

He recently shared a video on his Instagram where Zahir, along with his two other kids, was spotted wearing a jersey of NBA legend Dennis Rodman while engaging in football drills.

It seems like the Super Bowl Champion wants to shape Zahir’s sporting abilities, so he helps him in training. There is a possibility that the 9-year-old will follow his stepfather’s footsteps or learn more from his new mentor and might even someday grace the NBA courts.
