The Nuggets Championship rings which they received on Tuesday before their match against the Lakers, are beautiful and unique. It was a proud moment for the entire Denver Nuggets franchise and fans.
The rings look insanely cool and have left fans drooling all over them. If the NBA champions get awarded with such an alluring ring every year, the ring’s beauty is sure worth fighting for. Credit should be given to the maker of the pieces as he is the mastermind behind the mind-blowing championship rings.
Meeting Jason Arasheben
The person behind the crafty designs of the rings is Jason Arasheben, CEO of the Los Angeles jewelry house, Jason of Beverly Hills. Arasheben, known for designing championship rings, was given the task of designing a ring which would reflect the Nugget’s victory and has done it successfully.
“This one is definitely one of my favorites, if not my favorite. We’re the first ones to come up with the concept of the twist-off top to reveal, whether it be the inner bowl or the retired jerseys with (the Lakers’ 2020 title ring),” said Arasheben to ESPN. “But (the Nuggets’ ring features) have never ever been done before on jewelry or championship rings.”
Jason Arasheben also designed championship rings for the LA Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Vegas Golden Knights and Las Vegas Aces.
Astonishing details of Nuggets championship ring
The NBA championship ring boasts two new features, a lever that shifts the design from 1967 to 2023 with the backgrounds changing from white diamonds to blue sapphires, plus, a retractable compartment revealing the 2023 championship banner.
The rings were not only designed to be the first of their kind but also to honor the Nuggets’ historical season with attention to detail. The ring has each player’s last name, jersey number and the team battlecry ‘Bring it on’ embedded on the right side. Meanwhile, the left side shows the words ‘World Champions’ over a silhouette of the Denver Skyline enclosed by a basketball.
Another new feature is a retractable compartment on the right side of the ring that reveals the championship banner now hanging on Ball Arena’s rafters.
Regarding the design Jason said, “And although this is a big ring, it’s a flashy ring, what makes me most proud about this ring is the two unique innovative features that we put into this ring that’s never been done before. It’s very hard to recreate and innovate a new feature. But on this ring, we innovated new features, which is something that I’m very proud of.”
Aside from the interchangeable backdrop on its face and the hidden banner, the ring also details important numbers from the Nuggets’ season.
The ring boasts 16 carats of diamonds, rubies, and blue sapphires representing the Nuggets’ colors and the number of postseason wins it took to win the NBA championship.
