The 76ers are still struggling this season, even with top players on their team. Their latest loss brings their record to 20-34, leaving them tied for 11th place in the Eastern Conference as they head into the All-Star break.
One of the biggest disappointments was Paul George, who scored only 2 points. This hurt the team the most, especially since they lost by just 4 points against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night.
The Sixers played without their key stars, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, which put extra pressure on Paul George to lead the team. But when they needed him most, he struggled the best.

His poor performance left fans and analysts disappointed, especially since he signed a $200 million contract in the offseason. Even though George had a tough night, other players stepped up.
Kelly Oubre Jr. led the team with 30 points, while Quentin Grimes added 30 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and three blocks. If George had played better, the 76ers could have improved their record to 21-33 and avoided their five-game losing streak.
Paul George breaks silence following poor shooting night
Paul George, a nine-time All-Star and the Sixers’ big free-agent signing had a rough night against the Nets. He just made 1 of his 7 shots. He also grabbed 6 rebounds, handed out 4 assists, got 2 steals, blocked 3 shots, and had 3 turnovers.
George admitted that the Nets’ defense made things tough for him by double-teaming and limiting his chances to score. He said, “They just blitzed me anytime I had the ball, whether it was pick-and-roll, whether I had it up top. I tried to just counter that with playing through my teammates. Try to make the game easy.”
