David Nalbandian is an Argentine former world No. 3 tennis player who was a menace on the tennis court. A lanky presence in the stadiums, Nalbandian would effortlessly trouble his opponents with his smashing forehands and his loopy double-handed backhand, all while looking like a model with his ponytail waving elegantly in the wind.

After his retirement, became a rally racer in his home country but has fallen into some trouble recently. He has been accused of domestic abuse by his ex-girlfriend and the Rally Argentina participant is facing a lengthy judicial battle to sort out his issues.

David Nalbandian is 41 years old and retired from tennis in 2013, aged 31. He also became a coach to Serbian player Miomir Kecmanovic in 2021, but since has left the role. Nalbandian was in a relationship with Victoria Bosch with whom he has two children. However, he dissolved their relationship in December 2022.

Now, Victoria has filed a sexual harassment case against David Nalbandian after the Argentine supposedly installed a security camera in her house after their relationship had ended.

Nalbandian’s case was further launched into a state of turmoil after he admitted to the offense in an audio recording. The subversion of justice is a jailable offense in Argentina, and Nalbandian will have to go to court to defend his case against his ex-girlfriend.

Nalbandian was a famous figure in tennis during his prime. He often defeated elite players like Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal and had an accolade-filled career to remember. His achievements include appearances in the latter stages of grand slams and numerous ATP titles.

David Nalbandian reached his highest ranking of world No. 3 in March 2006. He played professional tennis for over 13 years and was a runner-up in the 2002 Wimbledon singles event.

In total, David won 11 ATP titles, including the Tennis Masters Cup in 2005 and two Masters 1000 tournaments. Nalbandian is the only Argentinian male to reach the semifinals or better at all four grand slams and the Wimbledon final.

He was also part of the Argentinian Davis Cup team that reached the final of the World Group in 2006, 2008 and 2011. His Masters 1000 titles were won at the Paris Masters and Madrid Open, both in 2007. He also reached the finals of ATP Masters tournaments four times from 2003 to 2008.

David Nalbandian was also an accomplished junior singles player, having won the US Open in 1998 by defeating Roger Federer 6-4, 7-5. He also regularly took part in doubles events but didn’t achieve significant results in that domain.

Nalbandian holds an 8-11 record against Roger Federer, a 2-5 record against Rafael Nadal and a 1-4 record against Novak Djokovic.

“Neither he towards me nor I towards him had that respect that younger players now have when they have Roger Federer or any other member of the Big3 in front of them. When you enter the court without that excessive respect, you already have one more chance,” Nalbandian said.
