Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Sevilla extend support for Chiefs at Super Bowl LVII vs Eagles

Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Sevilla have congratulated the Chiefs on their historic Super Bowl LVII win against the Eagles. The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in a historic comeback win. It is their second Super Bowl win in four seasons.

Kansas City Chiefs was trailing by 10 at halftime and even had star quarterback Patrick Mahomes injured, but they turned around their fortunes in the second half by outscoring their opponents 24-11. The match ended 38-35 in favor of the Chiefs.

The world closely followed the football game. The soccer world was no exception. Especially soccer fans and clubs were closely monitoring the game. Barcelona, Bayern, and Sevilla all had messages of support for the Chiefs. Sevilla also happens to be a sister city of Kansas City which makes their connection stronger.

“Wishing our friends the @Chiefs all the best in the Super Bowl today!”, Bayern Munich tweeted in support. They also posted a video featuring Jamal Musiala, Thomas Mueller, Alphonso Davies, and others who expressed their support for the football team. They even posted a message of celebration later. 

“We’re ready for #SuperBowl LVII! Good luck to the @Eagles and @Chiefs!” Barcelona wished luck to both teams before the game and then congratulated the Chiefs on their victory.

Sevilla as a sister city of Kansas City also expressed their support for the Kansas-based football team. Their tweet read, “In tonight’s #SuperBowl the whole city of Sevilla will be supporting the @Chiefs, who hail from our sister city!”

“A huge congratulations from everyone in your sister city!!!” was their congratulatory message in response to Kansas City’s victory post.

The Super Bowl’s fame extends itself outside of the football world. The soccer community followed the game and has since been congratulating the Chiefs on their victory.
