Ben Simmons is excited about his new journey with the Clippers. He believes they can help him get his career back on track after a tough injury time with the Nets.

At his first press conference on Monday, Simmons shared why he chose the Clippers. He said head coach Ty Lue and the team clearly explained what they expect from him and how he can help.

“I think just speaking to Ty Lue, everyone was just very transparent. They know what I’m capable of and what they expect from me,’ Simmons said.

He added, “I think it’s easier when teams are transparent and understand what you are, what you need, how they can help, and how I can help them. So for me, I feel comfortable.”

Ben Simmons shuts down health concerns before fresh start

Injuries were a big reason Ben Simmons decided to join the Clippers. But now, he seems ready to move on from his past struggles. At his first press conference on Monday, Simmons made it clear that he feels strong both physically and mentally. He said he’s ready to play at his best again.

He said, “I feel great, ready to go. I just want to play basketball at a high level. And I feel like that’s going to happen here.” It remains to be seen if Ben Simmons can stay healthy with the Clippers, especially since he had a tough injury history with the Nets.
