Cincinnati Bengals Use Renegade to Troll Steelers After Narrow Victory at Acrisure

The Saturday night game between the Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals was low-scoring but still full of excitement. Despite the Steelers’ efforts, Cincinnati, known for having the upper hand, secured a narrow 19-17 win. However, the real drama happened after the game in the locker room.

After the Bengals’ win over the Steelers on Saturday, they played “Renegade” by Styx in their locker room. Since the Steelers’ incredible comeback against the Browns in 2002, this song has served as their rallying cry.

The playful move added some extra sting to their victory, especially after the Steelers tried a late-game rally that fell short. The Bengals aren’t the first to troll Pittsburgh with the song. The Buffalo Bills did the same in 2019, hyping up to “Renegade” on the sidelines.

It might not be a good idea to mess with the Steelers’ famous Terrible Towel. Instead, they might want to play the song in their own dressing room. The Bengals’ playful jab is probably the least of the Steelers’ concerns, given their impressive win-loss record (10-7), which is better than the Orange.

What the Bengals must do to make the playoffs

The Cincinnati Bengals won a close game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, 19-17, keeping their playoff hopes alive with a 9-8 record. But the Steelers are in a better position. After a tough start at 4-8, they have won five straight games, showing they could be a dangerous team in the playoffs if they make it.

Now, the Orange requires the assistance of good fortune. The New York Jets must defeat the Miami Dolphins, and the Kansas City Chiefs must defeat the Denver Broncos. If that happens, they will get the 7th playoff spot in the AFC.

Even though the chances are low with the Jets struggling and the Chiefs resting their best players, the Bengals have done their part by winning their last games.
