De’Von Achane serves as an NFL RB for Miami Dolphins after being selected for a 4-year, $5,437,449 contract in 2023 NFL draft. With stellar performances in his first four games with the Dolphins, he quickly established himself as a key member of the team. Unfortunate to say, instead of his solid position on the team, he is set to be absent from the NFL gridiron due to his unfortunate injury after a Week 5 win against Giants.
DeVon’s team Dolphins have played six games so far, losing just once to the Bills, and their rookie running back has been a standout player in their victories. A crucial player’s absence is a blow to any club, and Dolphins will be no exception, as their rookie RB is going to be out for a couple of weeks with an injury.
De’Von Achane injury update
In week 5, Dolphins took on Giants, and during that game, rookie running back De’Von Achane suffered a knee injury, however, the Dolphins went on to win the game eventually.
Fortunately, the Dolphins running back won’t likely be off for too long, as he is expected to miss only four games before making his comeback against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 11.
After missing out in Week 1 for the Dolphins, RB has played four games and established himself as a solid addition to the team. With only 38 rushing attempts, Achane ranks second in the league in running yards (460), just behind Christian McCaffrey.
It is unfortunate for the teammates of Miami Dolphins that Achane would not be able to perform in the upcoming face-offs against the formidable teams of NFL, Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs. The setback would be felt due to the absence of his catalytic contribution as running back would be heavy on the Dolphins in the upcoming games it seems.
Possible replacements for Dolphins RB
With one of the high-caliber RBs’ unexpected absences, Raheem Mostert will fill in as a primary running back for the time being.
The Miami Dolphins seem to be positive that Raheem is worth relying on during the matches, with Achane missing out. Additionally, Jeff Wilson Jr. is scheduled to be back with the Dolphins this week, from a steady recovery from an injury which will serve as a plus point for the team with Salvon Ahmed remaining as another backup. Besides these three, based on ESPN’s reports, Jake Funk is going to be preparing with the team, who is also a prominent backer for the team.
Thus, maybe, the Miami Dolphins will be able to gain a commanding lead in the next games thanks to their excellence combination.
