Does Real Madrid have enough budget to sign Kylian Mbappe? Los Blancos announce $110M signing Jude Bellingham

Real Madrid have signed Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund for a $110 million transfer fee. But this has put doubts about whether they can now sign Kylian Mbappe as well.

Real Madrid has further strengthened their superb squad with the signing of England and Borussia Dortmund’s young star Jude Bellingham. The player was also wanted by Liverpool, Manchester United, and other clubs.

And now they have to chance to further improve their squad with the potential signing of Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint Germain.

Recently, the Frenchman said that he will not renew his contract there. This has led to PSG wanting to sell the player this summer if he does not renew. Real is now going to negotiate with the Parisiens as Mbappe is now their number one priority.

How much is PSG demanding for Kylian Mbappe?

But with Madrid having spent some huge money in recent years, many are thinking about whether Madrid has enough for Mbappe. Considering how rivals Barcelona are still struggling to register players, including having lost the chance to sign Messi again, one does ponder the question.

Kylian Mbappe, being one of the world’s best players already at such a young age, is a very valuable asset. As such, PSG will not let him leave that easily, even if he only has one year left on his contract.

According to Marca, PSG wants a fee between 150 to 200 million euros. Such a high fee is a very big extravagance for any club.

Already Madrid has spent some big money transfers in recent years. Just last season, they spent almost 80 million euros on Aurelien Tchuomeni, and this year, 100 million euros for Bellingham. Yet reports say, Madrid is ready to spend up to 200 million euros for the soccer star.

The club has recently seen the departure of legendary striker Karim Benzema, who left on a free to join Saudi club Al Ittihad. This means that they need to find a replacement striker quickly to stay competitive for trophies after a bad season.

As such, the club considers the signing of Mbappe a top transfer priority.

It is reported that Mbappeā€™s dream is to play for Madrid one day and it could come true now. Rumors have persisted since 2017 that the club will buy the striker, but it has never been done.

There is no doubt the club will do everything to sign Mbappe from PSG this summer. Negotiations are expected in the following weeks, as the deal will surely be complicated. They donā€™t have to worry about competition from other clubs as well, as Mbappe will surely not snub his dream club again.

Jude Bellingham contract details and stats

On Wednesday, the club confirmed the signing of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund. The transfer fee is said to be around 103 million euros. But it could rise up to around 134 million euros if certain variables are met in the following years. This depends on the performance of the player and the success of the club.

According to AS, The 19-year-old will sign a six-year contract with the Los Blancos. His salary is said to be around 20 million euros a season. This means he will earn around 120 million at the end of his contract. However, after tax, he will only have 10 million euros per season. He is already in the group of the highest-paid players on the team, alongside veterans like Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, and others.

Bellingham was sought by many other Premier League clubs as well. But in the end, Madrid convinced him through their project. It is not hard to see why the player is so much in demand.

Bellingham joined Dortmund in 2020, and in his three years there, established himself as a star. This season was his best, having scored 14 goals and 7 assists in 42 appearances. He was pivotal as Dortmund fought closely for the Bundesliga title, but lost on the last game of the season. In total, he has 24 goals and 25 assists in 132 games. He won the DFB Pokal last season, his only trophy there.

Bellingham also proved himself on the biggest stage in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. He was a starter in many of their games and even scored a goal there, becoming the second youngest player to do so.

All this proves that Bellingham will continue his rise to stardom and Madrid has definitely bagged a great player. And now they will try to get another great player in Kylian Mbappe.
