As a true “heel” character, he made himself someone fans really dislike. In a recent interview, Dominik talked about the frustrations and challenges that helped shape his WWE persona.
In a recent chat with the ‘No-Contest Wrestling Podcast’, Dominik Mysterio opened up about feeling disrespected by his family. He also shared that after his match with Seth Rollins at SummerSlam, his mother took the money he earned.
Dirty Dom said, “To make matters even worse, when I did stuff here in WWE, like SummerSlam. And I ended up getting paid for that. I never knew where the money went. I need to talk to her about that.”
Dominik also shared last year why he resented his father, Rey Mysterio. He stated how working with his dad was frustrating to him because his dad didn’t understand him. This tension pushed him to join ‘The Judgment Day,’ where he finally feels valued and understood.
Dominik Mysterio claims he had more TV time than Cody Rhodes
Dominik Mysterio has quickly become a key figure in WWE, gaining a lot of screen time alongside major storylines with Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley. He takes great pride in this achievement.
In an interview on “The Rich Eisen Show,” Dominik claimed he outshined Cody Rhodes in 2023, saying, “I know, for a fact, I had more TV time than Cody that year… I was on ‘NXT’ constantly, and I did ‘SmackDown’.”
He added that while Rhodes had a few more matches, Dominik ranked second overall in matches that year. He also said his hard work earned him respect from the locker room.
