However, his record-breaking 17th WWE Championship came with some dirty tactics, which he used against former Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41.
The match was full of intense action, with both wrestlers hitting their signature moves and coming close to victory multiple times. The crowd was on the edge of their seats, unsure of who would come out on top.
The turning point came when Cena deliberately sent Rhodes crashing into an exposed turnbuckle. Many fans believed it was intentional. While the referee checked on Rhodes, rapper Travis Scott, who had teamed up with Cena, distracted the official.

At that moment, we saw a funny title belt-snatching scene between the two stars. But Rhodes made a mistake by showing sympathy for John Cena. He chose not to hit Cena with the belt, and dirty Cena took advantage by delivering a low blow to Rhodes, leaving him vulnerable.
With Rhodes weakened, Cena grabbed the WWE Championship belt and struck him in the face, pinning him for the win. It was a lifelong dream for WWE fans to see the Cenation Leader officially become a 17-time champion. But when he won, the crowd erupted in a mix of cheers and boos as Cena celebrated his historic victory alongside Travis Scott.
