Drew McIntyre pays visit to Special Olympics HQ amid WWE hiatus

The former WWE Champion, Scottish Warrior Drew Mcintyre had recently made his appearance during the Special Olympics game. Mcintyre was missing from WWE for a long time which leads to multiple rumors regarding his situation in WWE. Even many fans believed that maybe McIntyre will not renew his deal with WWE.

Amid his WWE absence, the company has recently announced the return of the Former WWE Champion, but for a Special appearance in Berlin. As fans are eagerly waiting, even though there is no such announcement regarding the in-ring return of The Scottish Warrior in the company.

Drew McIntyre greets Special Olympic athletes

For those who are not aware yet, Mcintyre is the Brand Ambassador of this year’s Special Olympics which was held in Berlin this month. Being an Ambassador the former Royal Rumble winner not only visits but also greets the Special Olympics athletes.

Also, WWE had shared a video of McIntyre meeting some of the athletes in Berlin, who were really excited to meet one of their favorite WWE Superstar. 

Scottish Warriors’ last WWE appearance

The last time when Drew McIntyre appeared on WWE television was at WrestleMania 39. On the Grand Stage of them all, he competed against Sheamus and the Intercontinental champion Gunther in a triple threat match where the Ring General had successfully retained his Championship Since then Mcintyre has disappeared from the company. During his absence from WWE, the fans of the Scottish Warrior are really worried because of the rumors regarding the expiry of his WWE contract in early 2024. 

Reports also stated that Mcintyre and WWE both are not agreeing on a new WWE Contract. If this scenario unfolds, then it means that Wrestlemania 39 is the last Showcase of Immortals for the Former WWE Champion.

Drew Mcintyre is a well-established star in the company. He also defeated superstars Like Brock Lesnar & Goldberg during his current run within the Company. He also competed against the current Undisputed Champion Roman Reigns at last year’s WWE Clash at the Castle 2022, where he was unsuccessfully to beat The Tribal Chief. 

WWE is heading towards its next premium live event i.e. WWE Money in the Bank 2023 which takes place in London UK. Even without any strong rumors, the WWE Universe has still hopes that The Scottish Warrior may return to this show as a special treat for the UK crowd. Also, Mcintyre is rumored to have a heel turn after his return to the company to face Seth Rollins in a feud for the  World Heavyweight Champion.
