The Brazil-Argentina rivalry is no secret to anyone; the neighboring countries compete fiercely on the football pitch like it is a war.
Brazil and Argentina have faced each other 110 times in official matches. Argentina might be the world champions right now but Brazil holds the upper hand in head-to-head as they have won 43 matches while Argentina has won 41 matches and 26 matches ended in draws.
Endrick talked about the rivalry in the interview. He said, “When I played at Maracana, I saw Brazilians rooting for Argentina. It’s sad because it’s a classic war, it’s Brazil – Argentina. Seeing people cheer for Argentina was sad. We want to bring a happier face to the fans and, God willing in the coming years, We can be champions of the World Cup.”
When will Endrick officially join Real Madrid?
Endrick joined the Plameiras youth team at the age of 11. He has scored 165 goals in 169 matches for the youth team in 5 years. Endrick scored eight goals in seven matches for Palmeiras in the Copa Sao Paulo de Futebol Junior, led them to their first title and was also voted Player of the Tournament, due to which he caught the attention of international media and several European clubs.
On December 15, 2022, Real Madrid announced that they had reached an agreement with Palmeiras, Endrick and his family to sign him when he turns 18 years old on July 24.
He started playing for the Palmeiras senior team in 2022 and has scored 17 goals in 60 matches. He is currently playing for the Brazil Under 23 team at the Conmebol Pre-Olympic tournament.
Endrick will be a great addition to the Real Madrid squad, which already comprises big names. Playing for Real Madrid means performing every day and he has to learn and adapt to performing in a pressured environment.
