England Captain Harry Kane reveals his desire to switch from Soccer to Football

England and Tottenham star Harry Kane has expressed his desire to play American football once his soccer career finishes. The soccer player may be scoring goals for fun in the Premier League right now, but he also wants to score field goals for a football team in America.

Kane is a known fan of football and has shown interest in the sport for a long time. While he does not have the physicality for it, he definitely seems to possess the shooting prowess to become a great kicker.

Harry Kane wants to join NFL post-soccer career

Harry Kane recently gave an interview on Good Morning America. There he spoke about his desire to become a kicker in football after his soccer career.

He admitted that it would still be a hard thing for him and that he will need to do a lot of hard work,

“It’s something I want to definitely explore. I know it will be a lot of hard work. I’m not expecting to just walk up and start kicking field goals. It would be a lot of practice, a lot of hard work.”

“But yeah, it’s something I’d love to do. The NFL is something I have been following for about 10 years now, and I love it, so I would love to give it a go,” he further added,

This isn’t the first time the Tottenham striker expressed his desire to play in the NFL. In 2019, he said that football is “Something that in 10 or 12 years I definitely want to try.”

He has previously been seen in some NFL games held in London. Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where Kane plays has been hosting NFL games for the past few years.

The England captain has played an important role in introducing the American version of football to the UK in recent years. He is also a self-admitted fan of Tom Brady, who he has been seen with multiple times.

Kane is currently 30 years old. By the time he retires, he could be 35 or well over it. But if he does work hard, he could make a historic switch from English football to American football.

Harry Kane’s track record as a leading marksman

Harry Kane has been prolific this season. While he has still not won a trophy with his club Tottenham Hotspurs yet, he is slowly becoming a Premier League legend.

He has 30 goals this season, only 6 goals short of Golden Boot winner Erling Haaland. The longtime Tottenham striker has 213 goals in the league. He could become the league’s all-time top scorer at this rate, with the current record belonging to Alan Shearer with 260 goals.

Harry is also the player to score the most goals for a Premier League club. On top of that, he is the all-time top scorer for his country England with 55 goals.

Kane may become a goalscoring legend, but he isn’t anywhere close to winning a career trophy yet. The Englishman is unhappy at Tottenham, where the board is accused of mismanaging the team to the point of mediocrity. Tottenham finished 8th this season, meaning they will not play in Europe next season.

He has been rumored for a summer exit, with Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Chelsea all interested in the prolific striker.
