In a heartbreaking announcement on social media, former Raiders tight end Foster Moreau revealed that he has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. It is a type of cancer that affects the body’s germ-fighting immune system. Moreau, who was recently a free agent, received the diagnosis during a medical examination with the Saints while visiting his hometown organization during the offseason.

The news has left the 25-year-old football player reeling. But he remains optimistic and determined to fight the disease.

In a poignant message to his fans, Moreau shared his diagnosis. He explained that he will be stepping away from football to focus on his health and battle this new opponent: cancer.

In his professional career, the former NFL professional played 61 games. He made 34 starts and recorded a career-high 33 receptions for 420 yards in 2022, scoring two touchdowns for Las Vegas.
