In a special Q&A for Hailee Steinfeld’s Beau Society newsletter, Josh Allen shared the emotional moments before his proposal and how excited he is for their future. Hailee also talked about her happiness, calling the day of the proposal “the most magical day of my life.”
Josh Allen remembered getting down on one knee and saying, “I said I couldn’t wait any longer. I said I can’t wait to start a family with you. I said your full name, and I asked you very nicely. I said please.”
This shows how serious he is about the “Hawkeye” star. Allen shared that his biggest worry wasn’t whether Hailee would say “yes,” but whether she would find out about the proposal because he wanted to surprise her.

He said, “Throughout the day, songs would play, and I’d tear up thinking about how special it was going to be.” He planned the perfect proposal while his team was on vacation, under a rose-covered arch by a quiet lake.
As night fell, he told Hailee his deepest desire to marry her, along with her full name and a deeply felt “please.” The special moment really surprised the Hollywood actress, and she couldn’t hold back her tears of emotion.
