“I failed as a man” Draymond Green issues public apology saying he will not return to club indefinitely

The ensuing brawl between the two star players, Draymond Green and Jordan Poole, has startled both the NBA universe and the Golden State Warriors. Draymond said in Saturday’s news conference he wants to “take some time to let everything breathe.” Despite his formidable value to the Warriors, the star forward is stepping away from the team for an indefinite period of time amid the approaching new season keeping the Warriors’ fans at shock.

The four-time NBA All-Star has publicly apologized after a video of him hitting Poole during team practice was leaked. Green wished to give everyone some space, “I’m going to continue to stay away, as I’ve been away, and continue to do work on myself, but also just give guys space.”

Considering this incident as one of the very few regretful things in his whole life, the 32-year-old, said he sees himself as a “very flawed human being.” Tagging oneself as a failed leader and failed man, NBA GM survey’s second best defensive player concluded, “The video looks even worse than I thought it was. It’s pathetic.”

The reason for the altercation between the Warriors duo is yet to be disclosed but anybody from the league could hunch some beef between the star players as they have trash talked each other before. Neither Green nor anyone from the club revealed the events leading to such a brawl but assured it certainly is not the current impending contract decisions for both Green and Poole.

DrayMagic has personally apologized to Poole and his family, and took the accountability of how his impetuous actions affected Poole and the Warriors. Being concerned and validating Poole’s feelings, Green said, “The most important thing initially is to allow Jordan to work through his thoughts.”

Bob Myers, the general manager of the Warriors, addressed the matter, “These things happen. Nobody likes it. We don’t condone it, but it happens.” Regarding Green’s penalty, he further said, “Draymond apologized to the team. Jordan was there in the room … as far as any suspension, punishment, fine, we will handle that internally.”

The two-time Olympic gold medalist, Draymond, shall join his teammates while facing the Lakers at Chase Center on 18th Oct.
