“I would describe it as great, immaculate” Lakers’ Malik Beasley lauds impeccable vibe around team following thumping 13-point victory vs Warriors

The Los Angeles Lakers had been mired in mediocrity for the previous two seasons, and it seemed like a negative energy was coming from the team. Yet a number of deals right before the trade deadline on February 9 have changed all that. According to some fans, Malik Beasley is the most exciting trade acquisition for the Lakers thus far.

He can be a streaky and even inconsistent shooter, but he can become just as hot as any other NBA sniper when he’s on. He has averaged 9.0 3-point attempts per game in his four games with the Purple and Gold, and in Thursday’s blowout of the Golden State Warriors, he went 7-of-11 from downtown.

Beasley is the Lakers’ most deadly shooter in a long time, everybody thinks. He praised the team’s energy after they defeated the Warriors 124-111.

“I would describe it as great. Immaculate,” Beasley said when asked to describe the Lakers’ energy. “Even though we’re in a tough position right now, we see that as a challenge and we like challenges. And like I said before, we kind of made a statement tonight that we’re ready to make this playoff push and do what we got to do.”

Austin Reaves appreciates the Lakers’ new spirit as well. Austin Reaves had a superb performance against the Warriors on Thursday, making a perfect 6-of-6 field goal attempts and 4-of-4 free throw attempts to finish with 17 points in only 19 minutes. This season, he has developed into a crucial role player and Swiss Army knife for Los Angeles. He also praised the Lakers’ new attitude and makeup.

Despite all the issues L.A. has had over the last two years, it seems like the team is doing well at the moment since its roster is much better than it was at that time. Making the playoffs certainly feels extremely feasible at this time.
