John Cena Crushes the Hype Around His 17th WWE Title on WWE Raw Netflix Debut

The long-awaited WWE Raw debut on Netflix happened this Monday, and the crowd got everything they hoped for. WWE delivered on their promise, bringing close to a WrestleMania-level show, something never seen before on Monday Night Raw.

However, one moment left WWE fans, especially John Cena’s supporters, feeling sad. Many hoped Cena would win his 17th WWE title during this farewell tour to surpass Ric Flair, but it didn’t happen.

John Cena, who is in his “Farewell Era” before retiring from in-ring action, appeared in Los Angeles wearing his new “Farewell Tour” gear. He thanked his fans for their constant support.

While fans were excited about his chance to win a record-breaking 17th world championship, Cena surprised them by saying, “As far as the 17th championship is concerned, it’s never going to happen.”

Though the Netflix debut show had plenty of big stars, Cena’s heartfelt speech became the night’s highlight. Fans still wondered if he will face Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41, as Rhodes currently holds the WWE Championship.

John Cena then explained that winning the 17th title would take “a miracle,” but he stayed true to his “Never Give Up” attitude. He said he plans to compete in and win the Royal Rumble, giving fans hope again.

John Cena promises to win Royal Rumble 2025

John Cena surprised fans when he said he wouldn’t win his 17th championship title. This news upset wrestling fans, as they hoped to see him break the record. But he gave them a reason to hope again by announcing his plan to compete in the 2025 Royal Rumble and win it.

Cena mentioned that it’s been over 2,000 days since his last victory, but he’s ready to change that at the Royal Rumble on February 1st in Indianapolis, Indiana.

With a confident smirk, Cena told the crowd he would enter the Royal Rumble for a chance to become the No. 1 contender at WrestleMania 41. Before signing off, he made a bold promise by saying, “I’m not just going to the #RoyalRumble; I’m going to WIN THE ROYAL RUMBLE!”
