With the new manager in charge, the overhaul of The Blues continues. The latest departure of the German forward Kai Havertz who follow the likes of Hakim Ziyech, Edouard Mendy, Mateo Kovacic and Kalidou Koulibaly. After the leaked announcement video of Kai Havertz was circulating on social media, the fans believe the official announcement is around the corner.
After a season of underperformance and heartbreaks, Chelsea looks to make amends and start building under the new reign of Argentine coach Mauricio Pochettino. The Blues finished 11th in the last premier league season which was their worst-ever finish in the club’s illustrious history.
Can Kai Havertz succeed at Arsenal?
The Gunners had a brilliant season with excessive exceptions as they finished runners-up in the Premier League. Mikel Arteta’s men were on top of the table for most of the season and would have won their first Premier League title in the best part of two decades if it was not for the inconsistent run at the business end of the season. Last season Arsenal bought the Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City. The Brazilian had an injury rid season by starting in just 24 games in the Premier League and scoring 11 times. Whereas in the underperforming Chelsea team, Havertz started in 30 matches and scored 7 goals. There is no doubt about the German international’s talent, he has come to the rescue many a time in clutch situations for the Blues, most famously in the Champions League final against Manchester City. Arsenal will be expecting versatile Havertz to contribute to their already deadly attacking front which includes the likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
How will Chelsea replace Kai Havertz’s goal output?
The major problem of Chelsea last season was their ability to put the ball in the back of the net. The Blues managed to score only 38 goals in the entirety of the English campaign. There is no denying the fact that Kai Havertz was one of their most consistent players amongst the bunch.
Chelsea looks to freshen up their attacking department with the departures of Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech and the rumours suggest that the American winger Christian Pulisic has also played his last match in Chelsea colours. The Argentine coach Mauricio Pochettino has already bought in a Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal by paying his release clause of $38 million. Several reports suggest the London club is also eyeing up a record move for the Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

Both the London rivals had completely different last seasons but are looking to capitalize in the early days of the transfer window. Several reports suggest Arsenal have made an offer of $109 million to west ham for their skipper.
