Kenny Pickett Injury Update: Steelers QB expected to return against Ravens at NFL game week 5

In an unfortunate turn of events, Pittsburg Steelers quarterback, Kenny Pickett was initially diagnosed with an MCL sprain after departing Week 4’s game against the Houston Texans. His main injury was a bone bruise, according to an MRI.

Pittsburg Steeler fans have eagerly been awaiting his comeback to take on the fearsome Ravens ever since seeing his name removed from the injury report.

Kenny Pickett likely to return vs Ravens

Earlier this week, reports noted that quarterback Kenny Pickett’s injury was more minor and merely a bone bruise than some had anticipated, and he intends to make a comeback this weekend against the Baltimore Ravens at Aradium Stadium.

Kenny mentioned to the media this week, “I feel good” and “I will be ready to go by Sunday”.

According to Adam Schefter, the player was able to get back on track this Thursday without a brace on his injured knee as soon as linebacker Alex Highsmith was included in the injury report. Hence, as of the final report, he is no longer listed as injured.

Although the quarterback has displayed a promising start, he has also shown inconsistency and other traits that are a bit of a drawback for a rookie quarterback. He completed just over 60% of his passes in the first four games of the season, earning a passer rating of 76.3. In addition to throwing four touchdowns and each interception, he won two games and lost two.

Most importantly, despite the drawback, fans admire his dedication to come back and hopefully bring victory in the upcoming match against the Ravens.

How did Kenny Pickett get injured?

In week 4 of the Steelers 30-6 loss to the Texans, the quarterback, Kenny Pickett had suffered a bone injury while already having a challenging time. Pittsburgh was at that point behind 16-6.

After being sacked by Texans defensive end Jonathan Greenard on a fourth-and-1 play, Kenny got assisted off the field by trainers, and backup Mitchell Trubisky replaced him right away. He had only accumulated 93 net passing yards and had just thrown his fourth interception in as many games before being forced out.

It was announced according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo, on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the quarterback may have a “short-term absence,” but suggested Kenny may still play this week when the Pittsburgh Steelers meet the Baltimore Ravens, a division opponent.
