Man Utd to spend millions of dollars on major redesign to Carrington training ground following Cristiano Ronaldo’s complaints

Manchester United is set to expand the facilities of the Carrington training ground and will be investing heavily to improve the technology following Cristiano Ronaldo’s comment prior to his exit from the club.

Cristiano Ronaldo made a comeback to his boyhood club Manchester United after spending most of his career in Spain and Italy with Real Madrid and Juventus.

However, the homecoming didn’t go as planned after the Portuguese sensation complained about the facilities and development of the club, and obviously, the breakdown of the relationship with manager Erik Ten hag played a huge part.

“The progress was zero Since Sir Alex [Ferguson] left, I saw no evolution in the club. Nothing had changed. He [Ferguson] knows better than anybody that the club is not on the path they deserve to be. He knows. Everyone knows.”- Ronaldo told Piers Morgan in his famous interview.

“The people who don’t see that, it’s because they don’t want to see. They are blind. I think the fans should know the truth. I want the best for the club. This is why I come to Manchester United.”- the five-time Balon d’Or winner further added.

Ronaldo believed that Man Utd has fewer facilities in comparison with other top clubs like Man City, Arsenal, and Liverpool as the hierarchy of the club never focused on the importance of training grounds.

“You have some things inside that don’t help (us) reach the top level as City, Liverpool, and even now Arsenal. A club with this dimension should be top of the tree in my opinion and they are not, unfortunately.”- Ronaldo re uttered.

After a long period of the ruling, Glazers have finally decided to sell the club while there are few heavy contenders to buy the club and the main target will be the investment in the training facilities.

Ronaldo terminated his contract with the Red Devils following both parties’ mutual consent, but the legendary footballer left a mark on the club after reminding them of developing the famous Carrington.
