Manchester United are now set to enter the race to secure Borussia Dortmund’s prolific 19-year old English midfielder, Jude Bellingham.
Over the past few years, the England National Team player has established himself as one of the most promising young talents in world soccer. He had already attracted attention from giant clubs like Manchester United during his time with Birmingham City, but went on to ultimately sign a deal with German club Borussia Dortmund in 2020.
Jude has been crucial to the Borussia Dortmund side ever since joining the club. He was instrumental in Borussia Dortmund reaching the Champions League quarterfinals in his debut season. He has also featured for England at a youth level, as well as on the national team in the Euro 2020, where England became runner-up. He was also a starter in England’s 2022 World Cup squad.

Given his innate talent and young age, many clubs have set their eyes on Jude. According to reports, Real Madrid have made him a transfer target, while clubs like Manchester City have also shown interest in him.
Now, Manchester United have reportedly entered the race. Chris Hargreaves, United’s incoming director of negotiations, had looked after the English youngster during his previous role at Adidas. Manchester United fans believe that Chris will be able to persuade Jude Bellingham into joining the Red Devils.

UPDATE: According to recent news by Marca, Real Madrid has reached an initial agreement with Jude Bellingham. The report states that Real Madrid have finalized a contract with the 19-year old, signing him until 2029. Madrid haven’t reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund yet, but are expected to pay around $132 million.
