The Kansas State’s point guard brought the actual madness in the March Madness 2023 season with his spectacular performance leading the K-State 98-93 win over Michigan State in the Sweet Sixteen thriller.

The senior guard ensured a much-needed win for Kansas State with his sensational 20 points, and 5 steals including the incredible move of stealing the ball from Tyson Walker and driving for the much-needed layup before the final buzzer pressed.

With outstanding 19 assists, Nowell broke the record of Mark Wade’s 18 assists in 1987.

Chiefs Patrick Mahomes had high praises for Markquis Nowell

The Kansas City Chiefs veteran QB made Patrick Mahomes made fans hold their breath due to an ankle injury in a postseason game.

The same incident repeated in yesterday’s March Madness matches as the Kansas State’s guard Markquis Nowell injured his ankle in the second half after falling awkwardly. Nowell limped out of the game to get his ankle taped, albeit he bounced back in the rest of the game.

The K-State point guard returned to the match with 5:54 minutes remaining in the second half and continued playing limping up and down the court.

Following the incident, McKenzie Nelson, a reporter, tweeted to draw the attention of the Chiefs QB as he suffered the same thing recently.

Well! Markquis Nowell’s magic on the court has caught the attention of the NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes with his impressive performances.

Mahomes retweeted it with two flexed-bicep emojis stating, “He’s got it! I believe!!”

Following the winning, the K-State men’s tweet handle posted, ” Channeling some Mahomes magic”.

Mahomes retweeted the post.

With Nowell leading the way, the K-State have managed to make it to the Elite Eight, where they will face off against the top teams in the country.
