Mason Mount reveals falling in “love” at Old Trafford amid rumors Man United’s interest in Chelsea’s star

Chelsea teenage sensation Mason Mount has admitted his love for Manchester United amid a potential transfer to the Theatre of Dreams is on the cart following the Englishman’s grumpy season at Stamford Bridge.

The attacking midfielder who is also a Chelsea academy graduate has failed to impress Graham Potter upon his arrival from Brighton and the Chelsea number 19 is awful at the little spell Potter has had.

Mount has been very influential at previous outings and was named the Chelsea Player of The Year in past two season but the superstar could well see the exit doors with the departure of the current campaign.

However, in a recent interview, Mount opened up about his childhood favorite club Portsmouth FC and how he enjoyed Cristiano Ronaldo’s famous free kick goal against his supporting club and against England’s former no. 1 goalie David James.

“I think everyone has seen the video of when I was younger basing my free-kick off him. I always watched him very closely when he was at United as a young kid. I loved the way he played, his free-kicks.”- Mount said.

“I’m a massive Pompey fan, so I went to the game when they played at Old Trafford and he scored that free-kick against David James. I was actually at the game, in the corner, so I saw it first-hand and I think after that I kind of fell in love with the technique and what he’d done, and him as a player.”- the English attacking midfielder further added.

Cristiano has been a major source of inspiration for many current superstars and Mount is among them as he confessed his admiration for the Portuguese sensation and how he tried to emulate the free-kick technique CR7 pulled off.

“I always try to look at and work out, what can I do, to put it into my game. I used to look at him (Cristiano) but now to play against him and be up against him is the journey that you go on from watching someone in the stands as a fan and then to being on the same pitch and playing against them.”- Mount explained.

Mason Mount eats, sleep and breathe football and he loved every little bit of it but now his situation at Chelsea remains at risk, where will he end up in the next season will be very interesting to monitor.

“It’s a crazy journey and yeah, that’s why I love football so much.”- Mount Concluded.
