“No retirement in my future” Tom Brady discredits rumors of hanging up his boots amid impending divorce with wife Gisele Bündchen

Tom Brady’s impending divorce is not the only rumor that has been circulating around for a while. The whisper of Brady going into retirement due to his personal circumstances is also often heard. Since his marital conflicts concern his sportsmanship and his wife wants him to step off, there are doubts that the player might retire early to save his marriage.

The rumor of Brady’s retirement was originated from the Buccaneers QB Chris Simms’ interview on an episode of NBC’s Pro Football Talk Live where he asserted, “This is the one year I feel maybe it might be Brady, this is a weird year where we’re seeing Brady do weird crap and having personal issues.”

The 45-year-old QB discarded the rumor and put an end to all the doubts in a press conference shared on the team’s Instagram page, making it clear that he is not going to retire anytime soon. “I love the sport, I love the teammates, and I want to go do a good job for this team like I always have,” Brady said. “So, no retirement in my future.”

The player had not, however, made a public statement on his marriage situation as of yet. Although his wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen, has made it palpably clear that their marriage is falling off because of Brady’s refusal to quit the game.

In an interview, Bündchen said that “This is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present, I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them].”

Some fans have blamed Brady for not prioritizing his family and letting the family fall off. So far, his affirmation about continuing the sport has made a mixed impression on his fans, as expected. They would definitely love to see Brady dominate the field for a few more years, but not at the cost of his family and marriage.
