Ousmane Dembélé injury update: Barcelona star out for three weeks, might miss first leg of Europa League match vs Manchester United

Barcelona Football Club has received a major blow as one of their star players, Ousmane Dembélé, has been ruled out for the next three weeks due to an injury.

The Frenchman was forced to be substituted off in the first half of the match against Girona on Saturday, holding his left leg. He has a history of injury issues but has not had any physical setbacks since November 2021.

The club announced at half-time that Dembélé had suffered a quadriceps injury in his left leg and that tests would be carried out on the player when he returns to Barcelona.

Massive Blow for Barca!

The injury does not look good as Dembélé was seen limping when he returned to the bench, and the reports suggest that he will miss two to three weeks.

This means that he might not be back in time for the first leg of the Europa League match against Manchester United on February 16.

This news will come as a significant concern for the team’s manager, Xavi Hernandez, as Dembélé has been in good form recently, assisting and scoring goals whether he plays on the left or the right.

Dembélé’s absence will be a big loss for the team, as he has been a key player for the team, contributing to the team’s attack with his speed and skill on the wing.

The Frenchman has been in good form since the World Cup, assisting and scoring goals, whether he plays on the left or the right, and with his injury, Xavi will have to look for alternative options to fill the void left by the Frenchman.

However, Xavi will have some good news as he will get Robert Lewandowski back from suspension in time for the midweek clash with Real Betis.

If Dembélé has to miss that match as well, it will be a big concern for Xavi and the team. The team will now have to focus on getting through the next three weeks without their star player and hope that he can make a swift recovery and return to the field as soon as possible.
