Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams seems to be unhappy about his new throwing partner as he took to Instagram to express his frustration over the team’s decision to acquire quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo during the NFL free agency period.
The Las Vegas Raiders have been one of the busiest teams on the first day of the league’s ” legal tampering” period as they are all set to bid adieu to their veteran quarterback Derek Carr and welcome the new quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to a three-year, $73 million contract to reunite him with Josh Mcdaniels.
NFL’s one of the best wide receivers, Davante Adams, seems unpleasant with the Raiders’ decision to acquire former San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo as he shared a cryptic story in his Instagram.
What did Davante Adams say about acquiring Jimmy Garoppolo as a new QB?
Though it is not a direct hint of disappointment over the issue, many are assuming that Davante had been on good terms with Derek Carr from his time at Fresno State, and he had long since wished to play with this star QB once again. But now it seems impossible as Adams joined the Raiders last season, and Carr has just signed a contract with the Saints, giving him only one season to play with his former teammate.

Adams may also be upset since he is unable to play alongside his former teammate Aaron Rodgers, with whom he spent the first eight years of his career playing for the Packers before signing with the Raiders.
However, the ace receiver later deleted the controversial Instagram story and tweeted to clarify his intent. In the tweet, he stated that people were expecting an inside scoop rather than expressing outrage with the signing of the new quarterback and cheered for Garoppolo to join the team.
Don’t make too much of it…phone dry then here comes everybody tryna get the inside scoop. Shit is annoying thats it. Jimmy let’s get this 💰 👊🏾

In 2022, Adams signed a five-year contract with the Raiders worth a total of $140 million, which proved beneficial for the team as the wide receiver accumulated 1,516 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns on his way to his straight-sixth Pro Bowl appearance.
Only time will tell how the Raiders’ acquisition of Garoppolo will pan out.
Adams was presumably hoping for a reunion with his two former teammates, which did not happen, but hopefully, he will develop a good friendship with new star QB Jimmy Garoppolo in the coming months, and we will be able to see a new lovely duo.
