The NFL free agency has kicked off, but the Dallas Cowboys have yet to secure any player signings. Typically, teams aim to secure players before free agency officially begins to acquire the best talent available.
In fact, on the opening day of free agency, the Cowboys stood alone as the only NFL team without any player agreements. This totally frustrated prominent Cowboys fan Skip Bayless, who voiced his disappointment on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).

FOX Sports 1 analyst Skip Bayless, known for his fervent support of the Dallas Cowboys, expressed frustration over the team’s lack of activity in signing new players to bolster their roster.
Despite owner Jerry Jones’ earlier statement about going “All In” to acquire top talent during the offseason, the Cowboys have yet to make significant moves in free agency. This has left Bayless, along with other fans, disappointed with the team’s approach.
However, when the team didn’t even make any move on the first day of free agency, Skip Bayless tweeted, “All in, my a**,” mocking the words of Jerry Jones.
Within 24 hours his tweet became viral garnering more than 65 million views. His blowout could have stirred a lot of backlash considering his choice of words.
“Thank god for the comma,”’ an X user replied to his tweet emphasizing that his meaning has not been taken in the wrong way.
Considering the brutal loss the Cowboys faced in the postseason, they should have already signed some of the best players from the league. At that time as well, Skip Bayless talked about the team’s Wildcard loss stating, “Since 10-years-old I was a Cowboy fan – and I had never, ever experienced anything remotely like that.” He emphasized that it was his lowest moment as a Cowboys fan.
Now, the team needs to improve their roster, but they have yet to sign a single player from another team in free agency for the upcoming season.

Jerry Jones, known for his iconic phrases, introduced the term “all-in” during the offseason while speaking to reporters at the Senior Bowl. Despite the excitement among Cowboys fans, Jones explained that his definition of “all-in” is different. For him, it means making decisions focused on winning games in the current year.
“Your definition of what is ‘all-in’ and mine might not be the same thing,” Jones said. “But I’m trying to win the games this year with my decision. So I’m all-in to this year.”
He suggested that being “all-in” involves making changes in player acquisitions, coaching strategies, salary cap management, and draft positioning to improve the team’s competitiveness.
“But I think the attention that the nuances of where we are with the cap, the nuances of where we are with our position in the draft, the nuances of where we are with our free agents that we get that involved in [is] the definition of ‘We’re all-in.'”
When asked if the Cowboys’ approach to free agency would change, Jones indicated that it was just one aspect of their overall strategy and shouldn’t be isolated from other decisions.
“That would be somebody taking one part of 10 things we’re doing,” Jones added.
Despite the declaration of being “all in” for the 2024 season, the Cowboys have not been active in the free agency market, leading to criticism as other teams secure talented players like the RB Tony Pollard. Hopefully, the team has better reasoning for what they are doing, and it will be beneficial for the Cowboys’ future.
