The sole incentive for Harry Kane to stay at Tottenham amid Bayern interest does not involve trophies: Examining English hitman’s PL record.

Harry Kane has achieved several individual accolades in his career. In the 2022/23 season, he became the first player to score in 25 different matches in a 38-game Premier League season. He is the all-time top scorer for Tottenham Hotspur.

Kane has 213 goals in the Premier League, overtaking Wayne Rooney, a legend of the game. The English goal merchant is now the second-highest goal scorer in the Premier League, with Alan Shearer of Newcastle sitting not so comfortably at the first position.

Bayern reportedly offers $110 million for Harry Kane

Bayern Munich has spent most of the transfer window ‘hustling’ for Harry Kane’s signature. For over a month now, they have been heavily linked with the English goalscorer but were unable to break through Daniel Levy and Tottenham’s brick wall of monetary demands. Kane is reportedly open to a move right since Manchester United’s attempt to sign him, but Tottenham is unsurprisingly reluctant to let him go.

Harry Kane is the most valuable Tottenham player, so Daniel Levy will do everything to keep him at the club. Daniel successfully fended off Manchester United’s hunt. He also looks to discourage Bayern Munich from coming after the player.

However, Bayern Munich seems committed to completing this signing, as they have just slammed a €100 million take-it-or-leave-it offer for the player.

PL record awaits Kane given Bayern’s move collapses

Harry Kane has played for Tottenham Hotspur for most of his career but has not won a competitive trophy with the club. His record may be even more excellent than the club’s.

Harry Kane hit an all-timer when he achieved the daunting record of scoring the highest number of goals for Tottenham Hotspurs. He reached this milestone in Tottenham’s 1-0 win over Manchester City in 2022. Jimmy Greaves, the Tottenham Hotspurs legend, held the record long enough. The legend in his time scored 266 goals in 379 games. Harry Kane’s tally is currently 280 goals in 435 appearances for the club.

The Premier League legend Wayne Rooney held the record of the highest goal scorer until Kane came for him. Harry Kane has hit the back of the net in the Premier League 213 times, placing himself second on the list, with Alan Shearer still topping the list with 260 goals in the competition.

If Harry Kane remains in the Premier League amidst all rumors of his departure to Bayern Munich, we see him breaking Alan Shearer’s record soon, judging by his goal-scoring pattern. Also, Kane is the only player in Premier League history to have scored 100 goals at home and away. He has scored 42.8% of the goals Tottenham have managed this season.

Will we see Harry Kane play for the North Londoners next season? Or should he venture off to a new club to hunt for glory? Make sure to let us know your opinions in the comments section.
