Top Five Players to Look Out For in The Europa League Final

With fans having three European finals to look forward to, the first of those finals will be held tonight with the Europa League final. Rangers will be taking on Eintracht Frankfurt at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in Seville, Spain.

The match is sure to be a spectacular affair, with Rangers playing in a European final for the first time in 14 years. Frankfurt, however, will be playing their first final in over 40 years.

Very few, if anyone, would have been expecting these two teams to be contesting in the final. But they are here because they have some very high-quality, and hardworking players in their lineup. Here is a list of five players we feel like you should watch out for:

James Tavernier

How often is a defender the top-scorer in a competition? We wouldn’t blame you for not being able to name such a scenario. But this season’s Europa League top scorer is James Tavernier- who plays a right-back for the Glasgow-based outfit.

The Englishman has scored 7 goals this season, and also has 2 assists to his name. 4 of those 7 goals have come from the spot, as he maintains a 100% record from 12-yards.

Daichi Kamada

Japanese international Daichi Kamada has been instrumental in the Frankfurt’s run to the final. The midfielder has scored 5 goals and also has one assist to his name. It’s not just his goals, but his overall play that makes a difference in games.

Quick feet, high tactical intelligence, and good presence of mind makes him hard to deal with for any defender. He will for sure have an impact in Seville tonight.

Evan N’Dicka

The Frenchman has been a rock at the back. Frankfurt are yet to lose a game in the tournament, and a lot of it is down to him. He also has an almost 90% passing accuracy. Though he is caught off at time in terms of discipline, his defensive solidity at the back makes Frankfurt a really tough team to breakdown. The Europa League Final might be stalemate for long periods, and the Frenchman could have role to play in that.

Filip Kostic

The Serb, who is the captain of the side, is one of the most underrated players in the German league. Though his name won’t always be on the spotlight, his hard work, and perseverance make him a manager’s dream player.

The winger scores spectacular goals at times, and we wouldn’t rule him out of scoring another belter tonight.

Connor Goldson

Connor Goldson is another Englishman at Rangers who is making the headlines. Rangers’ run to the final has surprised many people, and a lot of the contribution in this adventure is down to Goldson. He also has a good passing range, and just might pick up an assist with his accurate distributions.
