During his debut as a member of the Washington Wizards, Jordan Poole dispelled rumors of tension by expressing his close friendship with former teammates Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry.

Jordan Poole hails Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson

Although Jordan Poole opted not to address the Draymond Green issue, he did speak up about the important lessons he picked up from Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, recognizing their stature as the two best shooters of all time,

“They are the two greatest shooters of all time in my opinion personally,” Poole stated. “I’ve learned so much from them during practices, games, and while traveling. Those experiences have been invaluable, and I’m extremely grateful for them. We’ve also built a relationship where I can reach out to Steph or Klay, whether it’s through text or a phone call, and have a meaningful conversation. That bond is strong and trustworthy.”

Poole seems quite appreciative of Curry and Thompson’s knowledge and values. Although there were rumors that Poole and Klay had problems, it seems that those issues were rather minor because Poole still feels comfortable talking to Klay. Jason Dumas, a Warriors source, revealed that Poole’s relationship with head coach Steve Kerr, who had grown tired of his behavior, was the main factor in Poole’s trade.

How long have Klay and Steph played together?

Playing with the Golden State Warriors for over 12 whole NBA seasons, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson have formed a spectacular combination, and their shooting skill still looks unmatched. With Curry averaging 4.9 and Thompson closely behind at 4.3, they hold the top two positions in the league for 3-pointers made per game in the 2022–23 season.

Both guards seem to have no problem acknowledging and valuing each other’s efforts despite their separate successes.

Curry praises Thompson for his fortitude in overcoming injuries and achieving a new career-high threes made this year. The 285 threes by Thompson outperformed his previous record of 276 set seven years earlier. Curry emphasizes the longstanding combination that has made both guards a force to be reckoned with in the NBA and feels they both still have a lot more brilliance to offer.
