After losing badly in the Western Conference playoffs, the Golden State Warriors understood the importance of making changes. With only a few days to go until free agency, the league is bustling with the news of a trade between Jordan Poole and veteran baller Chris Paul.
Clearly, Jordan Poole faced issues in finding his shot for almost the entirety of the 2023 season. Moreover, his relationship with his teammates was fairly compromised because of the Draymond Green incident fiasco.
Nonetheless, losing a teammate is never too easy and, the Warriors are no different. Recently, their star player Stephen Curry admitted that bidding Poole goodbye would be a tough job for himself.
Is Stephen Curry truly saddened by the trade of Jordan Poole?
According to reports from Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Steph was quoted saying
“You hate losing JP. I know it’s not all the way official yet. So I don’t want to talk too much before it is. But that’s the tough part of the business, seeing a young guy come into his own (and then get traded). It’s a great opportunity for him. It’s just you get to know someone like that, build a friendship, build a bond. It’s tough to see him go. But, you know, we’re trying to win next year and CP can help us do that.”

Jordan was an instant player who can easily go for 30 or 40 every night. He was a great asset to the Dubs team during the 2022 season. However, his time with them has now neared its end.
Is Stephen Curry’s best teammate Andrew Wiggins?
While Chris Paul may not be as youthful, his experienced guidance as a veteran basketballer can prove to be a effective for the Warriors. Although it will definitely not be a smooth change, there should be a way to work around it for both teams.
The Warriors have been very patient for the return of Andrew Wiggins, but they are working as though he probably won’t. Best pal Steph Curry was asked whether they have been talking lately, to which he responded, “Not that consistent, no, more space.”
Talking about his good friend and teammate Andrew, he was also quoted saying, “Friend to friend, teammate to teammate, just sending him support.”
