In the world of basketball, many names have long been synonymous with greatness. However, a new legend has finally emerged, and with his recent milestone achievement, he has solidified his place amongst the pantheon of NBA greats. We’re talking about none other than, Steph Curry, the sharp-shooting point guard for the Golden State Warriors.
On a fateful Sunday night, the Warriors faced off against the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Chase Center in San Francisco. The air was heavy with anticipation, as Curry stood on the precipice of breaking yet another record. With 5,695 assists to his name, he was tied with Larry Bird for 47th place on the all-time assists list.
All it would take was one more assist to claim the 47th spot for himself – and he did just that. As he continues his phenomenal performance, Curry is also inching closer to surpassing Dwyane Wade’s 5,701 assists to clinch the 46th position.

How good Steph Curry has been with his passing?
While Curry is most celebrated for his unparalleled shooting prowess, his ability to pass the ball is equally impressive. Over the course of his career, he has averaged 6.5 assists per game, and this season, he boasts an impressive record of 29.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 6.3 assists in 49 games. His shooting accuracy is also staggering, with a 49.9% field goal percentage and a 42.8% success rate from the three-point range.
At 35 years old, Curry’s star shows no signs of dimming. He recently guided the Warriors to their fourth championship in eight seasons, and he continues to be counted among the top ten players in the league. As of now, the Warriors hold a 39-36 record in 75 games, securing the sixth seed and a guaranteed spot in the Western Conference playoffs.
The Chase Center has become a fortress for the Warriors, with the team amassing an impressive 30-7 home record. Currently enjoying a three-game winning streak, and with a recent 5-5 record in their last ten games, the Golden State Warriors, led by the indomitable Stephen Curry, are undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with. The legacy of this outstanding player continues to grow, leaving the likes of Larry Bird and Dwyane Wade in the dust as he etches his name into the annals of NBA history.
