“Welcome to the Jaylen Brown show” NBA world stunned by Celtics shooting guard’s stupendous performance vs Pelicans

Jaylen Brown continues to remind everyone that he’s one of the NBA’s best players. Brown stole the show at TD Garden on Wednesday night, scoring 41 points and grabbing 12 rebounds to lead the Boston Celtics to a 125-114 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.

The 26-year-old was incredibly efficient, making 15 of 21 shots and 3 of 6 from 3-point range to become only the fourth player in the NBA this season to post at least 40 points and 10 rebounds while shooting at least 70%. He’s also only the sixth Celtics player to have multiple 40-point, 10-rebound games, putting him in elite company.

The NBA world was blown away by the mind-boggling performance of this rising star. Social media was flooded with nothing but Brown’s appreciation posts following the match. Some of them are given here for you-

Brown has worked hard this season to achieve that kind of consistency, which the Celtics have lacked at times, as seen by their humiliating 150-117 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder last Tuesday. However, Brown’s postgame comments indicate that a lesson was learned from that humiliating setback.

“As we progress, I think the message is that comfort will kill you,” Brown said. “These teams are not waiting around for us to just let us win the game. You have to go out and prove it every single night. Success is earned every single night.”

Brown is now averaging 27.2 points per game (12th in the NBA) on 49.8 percent shooting, which is the league’s sixth-best figure among guards. He’s shot better than 50% in six of his previous nine games and has scored 20 or more points in all but five of his outings this season.

The NBA world cannot wait to see more of him as Brown’s intent on setting the tone is a great sign for the Celtics.
