What did Chris Paul call NBA referee Tony Brothers prior to ejection during Warriors vs Pacers?

Golden State Warriors point guard Chris Paul is one of the greatest players of this generation. The 12-time NBA All-Star recently also became the first player in the league with 20,000 points and 11,000 assists.

Paul recently spoke out against a veteran match official’s abuse of power, and as a result, the majority of fans praised him for his bravery. However, it is not the first time that we have seen Chris Paul have a beef with an NBA official.

What did Chris Paul say to Tony Brothers?

In a game against the Indiana Pacers on Friday, Chris Paul was ejected in the final seconds of the game after picking up two quick technical fouls, which resulted in a 123-111 loss for the Golden State Warriors. Paul posted 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the 25 minutes he played.

After the rollercoaster of a game, Chris Paul said that he had called the match official Tony Brothers a “Tik-Toker” which provoked the first technical foul, and then went on to express his opinion about the NBA official having too much power, which resulted in the second technical foul.

“Old Tony. He talking to me, I talked back. I called him a Tik-Toker, and I got a tech. It was the first one. I just said, ‘Tik-Toker,’ gave me a tech. Second one, I just said that’s too much powers. He gave me another tech,” Paul said during the post-game conference.

CP3 went on Instagram and took a dig on the NBA official, which made the fans side with him even more in the heated issue.

Chris Paul takes sly dig on Tony Brothers after ejection

Chris Paul was clearly upset with the whole situation, as he felt that Tony Brothers was misusing his power as a match official, and making things personal in such a crucial game of a highly professional league.

He posted a story on his Instagram handle, in which Tony Brothers appears on a Tik Tok clip, where he was apparently trying to say that he is the judge and jury on the basketball court.

Chris Paul is one of the most competitive athletes the world has ever seen, and he has always handled adversity with grace and humility, which is a testament to his greatness.

Talking about the league, CP3 and the Warriors have got some serious work to do in the Western Conference, as they still stand at number 10 in the points table, and have only 13 more games left to secure the playoff spot.
