‘‘Who wouldn’t’’: Real Madrid’s new acquisition Jude Bellingham discloses desire to play with PSG star Kylian Mbappe amid transfer rumors

Real Madrid’s new signing, Jude Bellingham, has expressed his desire to play alongside Kylian Mbappe amid ongoing rumors of the Frenchman’s potential move this summer. Real Madrid recently secured Bellingham’s transfer from Borussia Dortmund for a significant fee of $110 million.

With this signing already strengthening their squad, the opportunity to further enhance the team presents itself with the potential acquisition of Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain.

Recently, the Frenchman said that he will not renew his contract there. This has led to PSG wanting to sell the player this summer if he does not renew. Real is now going to negotiate with the Parisiens as Mbappe is now their number one priority.

Who will Jude Bellingham replace at Real Madrid midfield?

The 19 year old English midfielder was handed the legendary No. 5 worn by his idol Zinedine Zidane.

While Bellingham was brought for a big fee, it is still unknown who he will actually replace in the stacked midfield. This is due to veterans Luka Modric and Toni Kroos still being starters for the first team regularly. This has seen other youngsters such as Aurélien Tchouaméni and Eduardo Camavinga regularly benched, despite being bought for big money and being promising talents.

Currently, Madrid is blessed in the midfield department. Veterans Luka Modric and Toni Kroos are still going strong, with both expected to renew their contracts. Federico Valverde, being a versatile player, plays as a winger, attacking midfielder, and as a defensive one at times. Tchouaméni and Camavinga are also two talents that are already showing promise. And now they have Bellingham, one of the world’s best young talents in midfield.

With the stacked midfield, there is no specific player Bellingham will replace. But he will eventually be the successor to either Modric or Kroos as both will leave at one point. He is similar in profile to both, but in actuality, Bellingham is more involved in attacking with the ball.

So, only time will tell how Bellingham ends up playing in the midfield. But it can be safely said he can adapt to any position given time. With Kroos and Modric to teach, he will only get better.

What did Bellingham comment on the Kylian Mbappe transfer saga?

This Thursday, Real Madrid presented their new marquee signing. There he spoke to the media and was asked about the ongoing Kylian Mbappe saga.

According to ESPN, the newcomer said he couldn’t really say whether Mbappe will come. “I can’t really comment, I don’t know his situation. If anything, my whole saga has taught me that not everything you see is true.

But he was full of praise for the Frenchman and said he would like to play with him.

“He’s a great player, whatever he chooses to do, all the best to him. Would I like to play with a player like Kylian Mbappe? Who wouldn’t?”

Bellingham’s dream to play with Mbappe may come true this summer, though it would be difficult.

Kylian Mbappe, being one of the world’s best players already at such a young age, is a very valuable asset. As such, PSG will not let him leave that easily, even if he only has one year left on his contract.

According to Marca, PSG wants a fee between 150 to 200 million euros. Such a high fee is a very big extravagance for any club. Reports say Madrid is ready to spend up to 200 million euros for the soccer star.

The club has recently seen the departure of legendary striker Karim Benzema, who left on a free to join Saudi club Al Ittihad. This means that they need to find a replacement striker quickly to stay competitive for trophies after a bad season.  As such, the club considers the signing of Mbappe a top transfer priority.

Madrid has secured one of the world’s best young players in Jude Bellingham. And now they will try to bring in Kylian Mbappe to kickstart a new era of ‘Galaticos’.
