WWE Star Dominik Mysterio Talks Enjoying ‘Being a Bad Guy’ in WWE

Dominik Mysterio is used to big WWE crowds, but one quiet afternoon, he was playing video games alone at WWE’s office in Stamford. He held a controller and focused on playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

While playing, Dominik talked about his wrestling journey. He said he’s enjoying being a bad guy — at least for now. Dom Dom also shared that his love for wrestling started back in 2005. That year changed his life and made him want to become a WWE Superstar.

One storyline changed everything for him — the 2005 feud between his dad, Rey Mysterio, and Eddie Guerrero. It even involved a ladder match to decide Dominik’s custody. He said to Netflix, “To me, that really opened my eyes to what this business is, and I just fell in love with it. The crowd reactions, being in the ring, and the way it made me feel as a kid.”

Everyone knows Dominik started as the good guy, teaming up with his father. But in 2022, everything changed — he shocked fans by turning on Rey. His heel character has continued ever since, and now he has become the most hated character in the company — a perfect example of how a heel should be.

Dominik Mysterio added, “I enjoy being a bad guy. I feel like I have more liberty in what I can do, say, and get away with. I feel like I’m pushing the boundaries a little bit more… I’ve witnessed that my whole life with my dad. I wanted to do something different with the Mysterio name.”

Dominik Mysterio prepares for WrestleMania 41 clash

As WrestleMania 41 gets closer, Dominik Mysterio is getting ready for one of the biggest matches of his career. He’s one of WWE’s top bad guys and now has a huge chance to prove himself.

Dominik will fight in a Fatal Four-Way match for the Intercontinental Championship. He’ll go up against the current champion, Bron Breakker, Finn Bálor, and Penta El Zero Miedo.

Everyone knows he’s not the favorite to win—unless WWE has something big planned. Still, his presence is sure to bring more drama than anyone expects.

It’s worth mentioning that the match was originally set to feature only two superstars. But thanks to “Dirty Dom,” the bout has now turned into a Fatal Four-Way. Whether he wins or not, he’s already made it more fun to watch.
