John Cena, the WWE superstar and actor, gave a pleasant surprise to the owner of a Saugus, Massachusetts restaurant by presenting him with a pair of autographed sneakers that he wore during WrestleMania 39. These Nike sneakers were hand-painted by a local artist in collaboration with the Kowloon restaurant to support a charitable cause.
As per a Boston 25 News report, @blueswaydshoes, the artist, employed an airbrush technique to create 100 exclusive pairs of sneakers featuring the Kowloon logo in a blend of gold, red, and black. John Cena acquired these limited-edition sneakers for a sum of US$495 (approximately Rs 40,474) and sported them during his appearance at WrestleMania 39 that took place earlier this month.
Afterward, John Cena passed on the sneakers, which he had signed and accompanied with a handwritten note, to the restaurant owner, Andy Wong, as a regift. Kowloon restaurant expressed their gratitude for this kind gesture by posting on Instagram, “Thank you very much, @johncena, for the unexpected delivery!” as a caption.
