UFC featherweight Bryce Mitchell shocking revelations after first loss of his MMA career vs Ilia Topuria at UFC 282

UFC 282 was arguably one of the most stacked cards in 2022. Both the main and co-main events featured veterans of the sport and upcoming stars. The Bryce Mitchell vs Ilia Topuria matchup in the featherweight division attracted fans since both fighters were undefeated until this point.

The fight started pretty competitively. Both fighters were going back and forth. However, by the end of the fight, Ilia was starting to overpower Bryce Mitchell. The rest of the fight was also dominated by the Georgian fighter who secured victory via an-arm triangle choke in round 2.

Leading into the fight, it seemed like Topuria had his mind set on another fighter. Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett had made some offensive jokes about Georgian people a few months prior. Ilia has been angry at him ever since.

Bryce is no pushover as he was undefeated going into this fight. In his last fight against the Veteran Edson Barboza, the Arkansas-born fighter put on a stellar performance. Many fans suspected that Topuria might suffer in the fight if he takes Mitchell too lightly.

However, everyone was shocked when ‘El Matador’ made easy work out of ‘Thug Nasty.’ The potential matchup between the featherweight and Paddy Pimblett suddenly saw the Georgian as the favorite. Paddy was on the same card and put on a pathetic performance.

Bryce took some time to recover and now has come out on Twitter to thank his fans and share some updates, “Hey I just want to let y’all know that I’m feeling just fine. I’m (back) home and I just want to thank y’all for all the love and support.”

“And I definitely got to let you know that it really wasn’t me out there. You know, I had the flu the week before”, he continued. “And you know I thought I’d just tough it out. And I didn’t feel good at all in there.”
