The visitors’ Rasmus Kristensen pulled one back, but Granit Xhaka’s late effort restored the three-goal advantage and guaranteed the host team claimed all three points. Arsenal now leads the Premier League by eight points, having played a game more than opponents Manchester City.

The ‘Invincibles’ are widely regarded as one of the best Premier League teams of all time if not the best. They held a 49-game unbeaten streak under Arsene Wenger and had world-class star players like Thierry Henry, Patrick Viera, and Dennis Bergkamp.
The current team is only three victories away from that, with nine games left, and their current form suggests they could demolish that and continue on their path to the title.
Manager Mikel Arteta spoke about the title race after the game, “What we can control is what we can do. We’ve been discussing that for the past few days. After the international break, there were a lot of tricky situations to manage with a few players.”
“There’s always a question about how the players will react after that. I think they were exceptional, they were really at it, everybody wanted to be involved and we won the game in a convincing way which is good and the only thing that we can control.”
