Every great legend has their nemesis, and the GOAT, Chicago Bulls’ Michael Jordan, has his own lifetime rival: the Bad Boy Pistons’ star point guard, Isiah Thomas.
Their rivalry is a dramatic and spicy topic to discuss, and until these days, they nurtured their animosity. While the whole world is fazed by the charismatic Michael, Isiah would be the one to bring forward the media’s hypocrisy when it comes to the Bulls legend.
Recently, a former Pistons star pointed out another example of the media’s double standard on social media.
What did Isiah Thomas say?
The 61-year-old former professional has adopted a strong negative attitude toward the six-time NBA champion, and he has every right to brag about this. Only his team was able to defeat that indomitable Bulls team of that golden era in the 1990s.
The two-time NBA champion shared a tweet where they brag about Jordan’s 59-point haul against the Pistons on Tuesday, 1990. “35 years ago I led my team Bad Boy Pistons to the NBA finals, it all depends on which story you want to tell and sale,” the 12-time NBA all-star wrote.

The media is indeed biased when it comes to his fairness, and Thomas is the least happy person to experience it. The marketing campaign around MJ made it hard for the fans to see through it.
Isiah’s Pistons were the only team that dared to oppose the all-out dominance of the Bulls at that time, and they won the title in 1990 by defeating Jordan’s Bulls. This anomaly still hurts the five-time MVP today, and nobody enjoys it more than Zeke.
However, sometimes fans like us feel reluctant to ignore all the achievements the 6.6-footer has made and focus on the failures he has experienced. Mr. Wonderful, on the other hand, has never been afraid to call a spade a spade.
