“A Kid From St. Louis” Jayson Tatum Expresses His Emotions After Living up to His Dreams With Boston Celtics

Jayson Tatum bagged the very first “Larry Bird” trophy on Sunday after the Celtics crushed Miami Heat in game 7. Its only fitting that a trophy named after Celtics legend is awarded to the current star player of Boston Celtics. 

“A kid from St. Louis… playing for the Celtics with chance to win a championship… dreamed of moments like this”, Jayson opens up about making it to the NBA finals. 

100-96 victory over Miami heat was a great feat for the Celtics’ legendary trio Jayson Tatum, Marcus Smart and Jaylen Brown. Tatum played the entire game with tremendous energy, finishing with 26 points, 10 rebounds, six assists.

Celtics’ star player has dreamed of this moment for ages. Coming from St. Louis and thereafter  playing for the championship has also made his mom super emotional. Averaging 25.5 points in 5 of the 7 games, the 24 year old’s performance was spectacular, this season. Underrated player from St. Louis now holder of Eastern Conference Finals MVP, three All-Star selections and two All-NBA nods.

Now the wait is for a Larry O’Brien Trophy which might be on its way after NBA the finals against Golden State Warriors. 

On winning the prestigious  Eastern Conference Finals MVP, Tatum remembered his idol Kobe Bryant. Paid tribute to the superstar for being his inspiration by wearing a purple armband with No.24 stitched on it.

Tatum’s mother was ecstatic after game 7. Caught on camera exclaiming the game 7 win and making it to the NBA finals, she revealed her apple watch notified her heart rate was racing the entire time.

Always being Tatum’s support system, undoubtedly standing up for him in response to someone trying to diss her son, it has been known well both outside and inside the court, momma bear is not to be crossed.

Lebron James faced the music explicitly from Tatum’s mom, blasted him for badmouthing her precious son.
