The New York Jets’ new starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Phoenix Suns veteran forward Kevin Durant are two legends in their respective fields and there is one more similarity- both superstar athletes recently bid adieu to their former teams following blockbuster trades.
Rodgers and Durant recently enjoyed an unexpected collaboration as they joined forces for an intense offseason workout session, igniting excitement among their respective fan bases along with sparking rumors of the basketball star’s newfound allegiance to the football field.
Which NFL team does Kevin Durant support?
Kevin had been a die-hard fan of the Washington Commanders over the years as was born and raised in the D.C. area and he was even considering grabbing the ownership of the franchise amid ongoing controversy regarding the hiring of Bank of America Securities “to explore potential transactions involving the team.”
“In a perfect world, I would be part of it. I would love to do it. I’d love to give some of my money to be part of the Commanders, but we’ll see. Hopefully, it’s someone nice. I heard Jeff Bezos and Jay-Z., but you never know.”
KD’s love for the Washington-based team is immense and he was eyeing to be a part of his beloved team before Josh Harris alongside his 20 limited partners including billionaire Mitchell Rales, and former NBA star Magic Johnson stepped in to finalize acquiring the franchise.
“I mean, how long has he had it now, 20-something years? He’s probably the only owner I’ve ever known. But that’s going to be a team where everybody, everybody wants to be part of the league. It’s one of the most lucrative teams in sports, so I’m sure there’s going to be a lot of bidders.”
However, the veteran star also declared himself as a Los Angeles Rams fan following his cousin Decobie Durant heading to the NFL after being drafted as a fourth-round pick.
Somehow this is my cousin. Ima rams fan now https://t.co/55tmW7YESH

Aaron Rodgers workout influences KD’s NFL loyalties
The former Brooklyn Nets forward recently shared a picture with the former Green Bay Packers quarterback and seemingly the player’s duo worked out together on a basketball court.
However, an interesting fact came out when Durant, being a die-hard fan of the Commanders, said he is now rooting for the four-time MVP A-Rod’s new team New York Jets by putting a hilarious caption with the duo’s picture saying, “Ima Jetmander fan. Don’t ask no questions.”
Both Rodgers and Durant are known for their unmatched skills and competitiveness in their respective sports and fans undoubtedly keep eagerly waiting for future collaborations between the two sports world.
